sameby, in Kall parish, reindeer breeding in the eleventh century is probably evidenced by hearths,
cooking pits, and pollen analyses (Aronsson 2005). It seems clear that there were several ways of living and expressing cultural belonging and that the inhabitants of the region included not only
sedentary farmers (Welinder 2008, 101, 107, 129; Hansen and Olsen 2014, 97‒ 100).”
